Fresh, natural fruits and veggies make up the largest part of a healthy diabetic diet and, indeed, a healthy diet of any kind. Enjoy fruits and vegetables as close to their natural state as possible. Try lightly steamed veggies or vegetables sauteed in delicious, flavorful, healthy oils such as olive oil, Grapeseed oil, sunflower oil and more. Avoid prepared juices or canned fruits and vegetables.
